So for those wondering why Baylor coach Scott Drew called a timeout in the final possession against Kansas instead of letting it play out, he gave an explanation. Drew said Manu Lecomte had hurt his ankle with seven minutes left and there was concern that if he had to go to a different option he wouldn't have been able to complete the play. Baylor wanted to get the ball to Johnathan Motley. But the play didn't develop the way it wanted out of the timeout and the side out of bounds. Drew said credit Kansas' defense.

Landen Lucas made the key hustle play down the stretch to beat Baylor in Lawrence Feb. 1; today he grabs an offensive rebound, draws a foul, and hits the deciding free throws with seconds to play. Unreal.

When Baylor gets back in transition, Kansas struggles to find space against man or zone. But Jayhawks trying to push the ball on the break before Bears can get set. Problem is Baylor capitalizing off these quick Kansas shots and misses, attacking in transition on the other end. Great action.

Six turnovers already this half for Baylor. Has been one of the Bears' biggest issues all season. Giving Kansas easy opportunities.

Kansas, man. This is what they do.

Kansas in a close game? Who could have possibly seen this coming?!

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

So hard to stop Frank Mason and Josh Jackson at the rim. The duo accounted for 21 of KU's 27 free throws in the first game. If they start driving and Baylor shifts defensively, look for the Jayhawks to get more open looks on the perimeter.
