Trying to make the tournament
March Madness is the most exciting time of year for college hoops, but not every team gets to join in on the fun. For some teams, it's been years since they last made the tournament; for Northwestern, it's never happened.
Kansas State has lost two out of three in a brutal stretch against Baylor, Kansas and West Virginia. They're joined by TCU on the No. 10 line.
Johnathan Motley had 25 points on 12-of-15 shooting and No. 6 Baylor had little trouble this time with TCU in a 70-52 victory over the Horned Frogs on Saturday.
Baylor given the edge
The No. 6 Bears suffered two losses straight before winning a close game vs. Oklahoma State. They'll face a TCU team on Saturday that has won three in a row, but ESPN's BPI heavily favors Baylor. Live on ESPNU/WatchESPN
Alex Robinson hit a free throw with 1.4 seconds left following a questionable foul call and TCU beat Texas Tech 62-61 on Tuesday night in a matchup of Big 12 teams trying to build their resumes.
The Big 12 has a pair of NCAA locks in Kansas and Baylor, with both potential No. 1 seeds and West Virginia not far off. Texas Tech has a lot of work to do, but bears watching.
Wichita State, TCU and Kansas State rise to the No. 10 line while Minnesota drops there in Joe Lunardi's latest projection.
Vladimir Brodziansky scored 18 points, Alex Robinson had 17 points and TCU reached five Big 12 wins for the first time since joining the league with a 78-63 victory over Texas on Saturday.

Clemson, Miami and VCU rise to the No. 10 line, while Minnesota falls to a 10 seed. Michigan, Oklahoma State, TCU and Wake Forest barely made the cut. Who was left out of our latest projection?
Kansas saved Big 12 this weekend
