Late push saves Wisconsin against Michigan (1:00)

C.L. Brown ESPN Staff Writer

Was just about to comment on Michigan's inspired 3pt defense just as D'Mitrik Trice made one. Wisconsin still just shooting 3-13 from 3. The Wolverines rank 350(!) in Division I allowing opponents to shoot 43 percent from behind the arc.

Badgers getting best of defensive battle

Neither Wisconsin nor Michigan has been able to crack 40 percent shooting from the field, but Vitto Brown's 9 points are a big part of why the 17th-ranked Badgers lead 26-21 at half.

Can a Big Ten team contend for the title?

It has been a long time since the Big Ten won the national championship. The league will fill the NCAA tournament with teams this season, but are any of them really in the national title picture?

Ohio State will avoid matching or exceeding its worst loss to Wisconsin (78-48 during the 2003-04 season, per ESPN Stats & Info). But this was an embarrassing effort by the Buckeyes.

Three new 6 seeds in eyes of Lunardi

A loss at Michigan State didn't stop Joe Lunardi from bumping Minnesota up to his six line, where Wisconsin tumbled after a loss at Purdue. Notre Dame also fell into the 6 seed while Saint Mary's remained locked in out west. Bracketology

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Wisconsin outscored Ohio State 22-8 in the paint in the first half. Badgers also 6 for 12 from the 3-point line. Wisconsin dominating Buckeyes on both ends of the floor.

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Ohio State's limitations were clear before this game. They could beat you if Tate and Lyle could find a way to slash and score. Can't hit 3s. Struggle at the free throw line. So if your only chance to beat elite teams is to take your man off the dribble, you'll always be in trouble against a team like Wisconsin.

Myron Medcalf ESPN Staff Writer

Wisconsin has a chemistry few teams can match. That's what we say about every team, but the difference between this Badgers team and the one that struggled during the transition to Gard last year is how comfortable players are with their roles.

Can Wisky keep Buckeyes down?

Wisconsin is an overwhelming favorite to knockoff Ohio State, which has started 0-3 in the Big Ten. Wisconsin should know about coming out of bad starts as it started 1-4 in the Big Ten last season. Live on ESPN2/WatchESPN
