Kansas began to pull away from Louisiana in the second half, but the Ragin' Cajuns won't go quietly. Bill Self sat Udoka Azubuike and Dedric Lawson with two fouls each after KU fell behind by 12 in the first half in addition to freshman point Devon Dotson. All returned after halftime, but Lagerald Vick is carrying the Jayhawks tonight with 27 points.

Louisiana leads No. 2 Kansas 27-20 midway through the first half at Allen Fieldhouse. This is far from the start for which the Jayhawks hoped after a sluggish-at-times performance in the home opener on Monday in a win over Vermont.
Start the upset alerts now. If the NCAA tournament started today, a few underdogs -- headlined by Texas -- could surprise in the opening rounds.
