Pitino receives subpoena for phone records

Rick Pitino received a grand jury subpoena to produce phone records and other documents related to the FBI's investigation into corruption in college basketball. Pitino's lawyer told ESPN that the subpoena is "evidence that he's not a target."

Rick Pitino's federal lawsuit Adidas' actions have caused grave damage to his "public and private standing and reputation, causing him extreme embarrassment, humiliation, and emotional distress." The lawsuit says it is "about more than just money; it is Coach Pitino's vehicle for proving that he had nothing to do with Adidas' outrageous, wrongful, and illegal conspiracy."

Rick Pitino sued Adidas America in federal court on Tuesday, one day after he was formally fired as Louisville's basketball coach. In the civil lawsuit, Pitino alleges he suffered damages as a result of Adidas' "outrageous conduct in conspiring to funnel money to the family of a college basketball recruit...all without Coach Pitino's knowledge, participation, or acquiescense."
