Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were the Packers' Pro Bowl selections. Remarkably, David Bakhtiari was not. In fact, he's an alternate but not even a first alternate at tackle. Corey Linsley and Kenny Clark were alternates but not first alternates.

The Packers worked out QB Paxton Lynch, the 26th pick of the 206 draft, according to a source. Others who worked out Tuesday were: WR Chris Brown (Notre Dame), DE Eric Cotton (Stanford), CB D.J. Killings (UCF), CB Trevon Mathis (Toledo), WR Ka'Raun White (West Virginia). Cotton and Killings were signed to the practice squad.

The Packers signed WR Allen Lazard off the Jaguars' practice squad and placed RB Aaron Jones (knee) on injured reserve. Also they signed DL Eric Cotton and CB D.J. Killings to the practice squad and placed TE Ethan Wolf on the practice squad; injured list.

Packers claimed RB Kapri Bibbs off waivers from the Redskins, where he played in 10 games this season and averaged 5.1 yards per carry on just 20 attempts. This would indicate that Aaron Jones' availability for Sunday at the Jets is very much in question.

Packers rookie OL Alex Light, who has played exactly three snaps (two at RG and one at LT on Dec. 9), has been suspended one game for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Light can't play Sunday at against the Jets but could play in Week 17.

Joe Philbin said he has not been part of any conversations about Aaron Rodgers not playing in the final two games of the season even though the Packers were eliminated from playoff contention. "Obviously we have to go through the week, we would never put any player who wasn't physically ready to go. That's my philosophy for Aaron Rodgers or anyone place. "In a general sense, my philosophy is football players are paid to play football games."
