Scutaro Out At Home

• The Situation: The Red Sox were leading 3-2 in the eighth and had an opportunity to add an insurance run when Marco Scutaro singled to right field with one out.

• The Outcome: Carl Crawford doubled to left field. Taking off from first base, Scutaro hesitated before getting to third and then tried to score, but he was thrown out at the plate.

• The Impact: Coming one inning after David Ortiz was thrown out stretching a single to a double, Scutaro's baserunning miscue proved to be one blunder too many for the Red Sox.

• The Quote: "It seemed like everything that could possibly go wrong for us did." -- Red Sox pitcher Daniel Bard
