That said, this adds urgency to L.A.'s trade deadline search for a mid- to upper-rotation starter, a need that already existed. The tangible impact could be this: The asking price for Yu Darvish and Sonny Gray probably just went up. Also, while top prospect Walker Buehler remains a possibility for late-season bullpen help, it's hard to see the Dodgers looking to him as a rotation solution this soon.
