Bernie Williams visits family

LOIZA, Puerto Rico -- New York Yankees outfielder Bernie Williams visited with the family of former major leaguer Ivan Calderon at their home Tuesday, three days after Calderon was shot and killed.

Calderon was buried Tuesday in Loiza, the northern coastal town
where he lived. Dozens of people lined the highway to watch
Calderon's funeral procession.

Yankees outfielder Ruben Sierra also paid his respects to
Calderon, attending his wake Monday.

According to police, witnesses said Calderon was in a bar
Saturday when two people entered and, without a word, shot the
former outfielder multiple times in the back.

Calderon played 10 seasons in the major leagues with Seattle,
the Chicago White Sox, Boston and Montreal. He finished his big
league career in 1993 with a .272 batting average, 104 homers and
444 RBIs.
