Deal won't be finalized until after physical

CLEVELAND -- Free-agent outfielder David Dellucci's scheduled physical with the Cleveland Indians was postponed until next week because he has the flu.

Dellucci had planned to be in Cleveland on Thursday for a physical that would have allowed the Indians to finalize an $11.5 million, three-year contract.

However, Dellucci wasn't feeling well and the medical checkup was rescheduled until next Tuesday, his agent Joe Longo said.

Dellucci batted .292 with 13 homers and 39 RBI for the Philadelphia Phillies last season. As long as he passes his physical, Dellucci is likely to be the Indians' starting left fielder next season.
