Indians give Julio chance to make their bullpen

CLEVELAND -- Free agent reliever Jorge Julio agreed Thursday
to a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians and was
invited to spring training.

The 28-year-old right-hander was 0-3 with a 3.93 ERA last season
with the Colorado Rockies, striking out 50 and walking 20 in 52 2/3
innings. He had a 2.86 ERA in 32 appearances at Coors Field.

Julio began last season with the Florida Marlins, who acquired
him from Arizona at the end of spring training. The Venezuelan has
a 13-33 career record with 99 saves and a 4.35 ERA in 411 relief
appearances for Baltimore, the New York Mets, Arizona, Florida and
