ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Rays reliever Chad Bradford is expected to be sidelined three to four months after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow.

The procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews last week in Birmingham, Ala. Bradford was 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in 21 appearances after the AL champions acquired him from the Baltimore Orioles in August.

The Rays also announced infielder Morgan Ensberg had agreed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training and former Seattle manager John McLaren had been hired as a special assignment scout.
