Sanchez let go by Padres

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres have waived right-hander Duaner Sanchez in one of seven roster moves for the slumping team.

Sanchez, who was waived Friday for the purpose of giving him his unconditional release, was 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA in 11 games out of the bullpen.

San Diego also placed starting shortstop Luis Rodriguez on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle, retroactive to Thursday, and claimed infielder Josh Wilson off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Padres recalled lefty Joe Thatcher and purchased the contract of right-hander Greg Burke from Triple-A Portland, and optioned righty Edwin Moreno to Portland.

Right-handed pitcher Cha Seung Baek was transferred to the 60-day disabled list with a strained right forearm.
