Marlins' Sanchez to start vs. Braves

HOUSTON -- The Florida Marlins have recalled right-hander Anibal Sanchez from Double-A Jacksonville to start Friday's game in Atlanta.

Right-hander Cristhian Martinez, who pitched 2 2-3 scoreless innings in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Houston, was optioned to Jacksonville.

Sanchez (1-4, 5.55 ERA) had been on the disabled list since June 4 with a sprained shoulder. He threw 45 pitches in 3 1/3 innings of a rehab start on Monday.

Martinez was recalled from Jacksonville on Aug. 14, his fourth stint with the Marlins since May.
