Reds get Bruce back from disabled list

CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Reds activated outfielder Jay Bruce from the 15-day disabled list Monday and also recalled infielder-outfielder Juan Francisco from Triple-A Louisville.

Bruce had been out since fracturing his right wrist on July 11. He was leading the team with 18 home runs while hitting .207 when he was hurt trying to make a diving catch at New York's Citi Field.

Bruce hit .212 in 10 rehab appearances with Louisville.

Francisco hit .295 with 27 home runs and 93 RBIs at Double-A Carolina and .359 in 22 games at Louisville. His first appearance will be his major league debut.
