D-backs' Abreu may need DL stint

PHOENIX -- Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Tony Abreu left Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays because of a sprained left wrist.

Abreu could be headed to the disabled list after another examination.

"He is not doing great. His hands are pretty messed up and he hurt his forearm," Arizona manager A.J. Hinch said. "It could be broken and we are going to have more tests."

Abreu was injured tagging out the Blue Jays' Jose Molina at second base in the fifth inning as Molina attempted to stretch a hit into a double. Molina slid hard into Abreu, who immediately hopped around shallow center field in obvious pain holding his left arm.

Abreu was taken out of the game and replaced by Augie Ojeda.
