ARLINGTON, Texas -- Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher Hideki Okajima, who has been on the disabled list since Aug. 6 with a left hamstring strain, is scheduled to throw a bullpen session at Rangers Ballpark on Sunday.
The Red Sox are in Arlington for a four-game series against the Texas Rangers; the final game is on Sunday afternoon.
Okajima will continue his program on Tuesday and Thursday at Fenway Park. He will be re-evaluated at the end of the week.
Okajima has been bothered by various injuries this season, dating back to spring training. He's 4-3 with a 5.85 ERA in 40 games (32 1/3 innings) this season.
