Giants' trophy to make NYC appearance

Any holdover San Francisco Giants fans from the franchise's days in New York can catch a glimpse of the World Series trophy on the East Coast on Jan. 22.

The team announced Thursday that the trophy will make an appearance in New York City at both the Hilton New York Hotel and Finnerty's.

It will be a first-come, first-served basis, and photographers will take one photo per fan with the trophy. The Giants hope to accommodate as many fans as possible.

Before moving to San Francisco in 1958, the New York Giants won seven world championships between 1883 to 1957. The 2010 title is the first the team has won since its relocation to the West Coast.
