Fernando Rodney blew a 6-4 lead in the ninth inning and the Diamondbacks dropped a 7-6 decision to the Rockies on Saturday. Rodney has been terrible this season, and it's time for manager Torey Lovullo to consider a Plan B. One potential option: Archie Bradley, who's been dominant in a setup role in April.

ESPN Stats and Information

Braves LF Matt Kemp launched a trio of home runs in Saturday's 11-3 win vs. the Brewers. His 88 long balls over the past four seasons are fourth-most in the National League during that time.

ESPN Stats and Information

Ivan Nova has made 16 starts since joining the Pirates. He has five complete games and four walks (that's not a typo). Nova is the first pitcher with five complete games and four or fewer walks in his first 16 starts for a team since Bill Fischer for the Kansas City Athletics in 1962 (source: Elias Sports Bureau).

ESPN Stats and Information

Yankees RF Aaron Judge swatted his 10th homer of the season on Saturday vs. the Orioles. Judge now has twice as many long balls as the player with the second-most for the Yankees this season (Starlin Castro, 5).

ESPN Stats and Information

Part of the draw with Adam Eaton was the team-friendly deal he signed in March 2016. If the Nationals picked up both team options, they would pay him a total of $38.4 million over the next five seasons. All that for a player who was the fifth-best outfielder the previous three seasons, based on wins above replacement.

Miguel Montero on his approach against knuckle ball pitcher Steve Wright: "I told the umpire I'm going to close my eyes and swing hard in case I hit it." It worked. Montero tied Saturday's game with a solo HR off Wright in the 7th.

Cubs 7, Red Sox 4: As bad losses go, what happened Saturday at Fenway Park ranks high on the list. The Red Sox (12-11) blew an early three-run lead, giving up three runs in an ugly seventh inning in which starter Steven Wright gave up the game-tying homer, the defense threw the ball all over the field and the undermanned bullpen wilted. On plus side, Hanley Ramirez launched a tape-measure homer onto Lansdowne Street.

The Cubs played a solid game after getting down 3-0 to the Red Sox eventually coming back to win 7-4. Rizzo, Montero and Zobrist all homered but it was the bloop single by Kyle Schwarber off lefty Robby Scott which produced the go ahead RBI. Schwarber had struck out 6 times in 2 days but came through when the Cubs needed it. Once again the bullpen was great as Wade Davis is 6 for 6 in save opportunities after striking out the side in the ninth. The Cubs guaranteed themselves a winning month as they are 13-10 with one game to play.

Miguel Montero's game tying HR in the 7th inning today traveled 450 ft, according to ESPN Stats and Info, the longest for him since June, 2012.
