Brandon McCarthy pitched seven solid innings and the Dodgers used a fifth-inning uprising to score six times and avoid a sweep in Arizona. The Dodgers got out of town with a 6-2 victory after getting outscored 24-10 in the first two games of the series. Adrian Gonzalez had two doubles and two RBIs, while Yasmani Grandal hit a two-run home run.

It was another solid outing for Dodgers RHP Brandon McCarthy, who gave up two runs over seven innings to a Diamondbacks offense that had been red hot. The club's No. 4 starter when the season started, McCarthy has been the best Dodgers pitcher not named Clayton Kershaw. McCarthy and Kershaw are the only Dodgers to have pitched into the seventh inning this year.
