Romo, in his first game ever at AT&T Park as a visitor, tipped his cap to the crowd, pounded his heart and pointed toward the Giants dugout. The club played a video tribute to the reliever, complete with his former entrance music.

Jason Heyward hit his third home run in his last four games while Addison Russell earned his first 4 hit day with four singles. The Cubs have scored 53 runs over their last 6 games while Brett Anderson was just good enough to give them a quality start, the team's first in over week.

Staked with a huge lead Cubs starter Brett Anderson threw the first quality start for the team since a week ago Sunday, Anderson went 6 innings giving up just one earned run on 5 hits and 6 walks. It wasn't always pretty but he's in line for the win as the Cubs lead 12-3 in the seventh.

As a sinker/slider guy, Pirates starter Chad Kuhl has a large platoon split so far in his brief major league career. Working carefully, he walked lefties Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist with two outs and paid the price as Addison Russell knocked in Rizzo with a base hit and then lefty-swinging Jason Heyward popped a three-run homer.
