SS Brendan Rodgers went 2-for-5 with two singles, two strikeouts and a run scored in his Double-A home debut with the Hartford Yard Goats. His final at-bat in the bottom of the eighth was a three-pitch strikeout that ended with the prospect chasing a high heater. Rodgers also had two errors -- that led to three runs -- and a couple of flashy plays in the field to cap off his up-and-down evening.

Albert Almora's successful squeeze play tonight was the third RBI by the Cubs via a bunt play this season, tied for the most in the majors. In fact, since Joe Maddon took over as manager in 2015 the Cubs have the most RBI (16) in baseball on bunt plays.

The Yankees have announced a right hamstring strain for Starlin Castro. If he needs to go on the DL, then Ronald Torryes would likely play second regularly. There is a chance the Yankees could call-up prospect Tyler Wade, but he would have to be put on the 40-man roster.
