Tough day on the injury front, as two of the top 30 starting pitchers of the past month, Danny Salazar (No. 29 on the Player Rater) and Alex Wood (No. 25), the No. 16 overall player during that same time frame, Joey Gallo, and the No. 30 player for the season, Cody Bellinger, all landed in the DL. Of those, Salazar's is of greatest concern, as it's his third DL stint in the past 13 months and second for an elbow issue. I can't say I'd plan on him contributing to fantasy teams the rest of the way.

Masahiro Tanaka is not only trying to help pitch the Yankees into the playoffs, he is trying to make his opt-out decision difficult. Tanaka will start tonight after the Yankees took him off the DL following his recovery from inflammation in his right shoulder. At the end of the season, he can opt out of the final three years and $68 million of his contract. Right now, it is hard to see him doing that with an 8-10 record and a 4.92 ERA.
