What's up with Wil Myers? He homers in the 12th inning to beat the Giants and has seven home runs, 16 extra-base hits and a .310 average. He also has the absurdly bad ratio of 34 strikeouts and just two walks. All that good to go with a whole bunch of bad as well.

Kyle Hendricks gave up his fifth home run of the year as Hanley Ramirez homered in the first inning on Sunday. Last season Hendricks didn't give up hid fifth until June 13. The first inning shot by Ramirez was the 9th long ball this season given up in the first inning by a Cubs starter, raising their team ERA in the first to 9.75. The HR's and ERA are the worst in baseball in the first inning.

Something you don't see every day: The Rockies and Diamondbacks play 12 scoreless innings before Daniel Descalso walks it off with a two-run homer in the 13th for Arizona. It was the latest walk-off homer for the Diamondbacks since Orlando Hudson hit one in the 15th inning in 2006. Good bounce-back after Fernando Rodney blew a 6-4 lead on Saturday.

The Fenway scoreboard says exit velocity on Hanley Ramirez's two-run homer was 112 mph. Sounds about right. Second consecutive game that Ramirez crushes a homer to left field -- and flips his bat, stylishly.

With four runs on Sunday to give him 32, Bryce Harper is the only player since 1900 to score 30 runs in April. Is a 150-run season possible? The only two to do it since World War II are Ted Williams in 1949 (150) and Jeff Bagwell (152) in 2000.

Before the game, Jackie Bradley Jr., Mookie Betts long-tossed, throwing the ball from RF foul line toward the Monster. JBJ: over everything.

Watch Joe Maddon discuss the first month of the season for the defending champs. They'll either end it 14-10 or 13-11, either way, Maddon likes what he's seen.
