Since the Yankees have three off days in the first 2 weeks of the year, they could wait until April 17th, the 13th game of the season, before using a fifth starter. Jordan Montgomery, a rookie lefty, continues to come around the outside to possibly be that man.

Mets SS Asdrubal Cabrera just got tossed from the game - in spring training. He'd had words with home plate Angel Hernandez after a pitch, then lined a single on the next pitch. But his first couple steps out of the box were spent looking back at Hernandez, who ejected Cabrera when he got to first. Here's Cabrera leaving the game - by walking across the entire diamond and out the RF corner. Just plain weird.

Jordan Montgomery sure made this Yankees rotation battle interesting today, with eight K's in 4 1/3 innings. He's yet another endgame sleeper for AL-only owners.
