The Dodgers' Chris Taylor was running on his own when he thrown out stealing in the eighth inning with Corey Seager at the plate. Justin Turner called it a bad, bad baseball play when he was picked off second to end the game. The Dodgers lost to the Giants 2-1.

Just your typical game-ending pickoff at second base as Buster Posey nails Justin Turner, who was trying to get a good jump as Adrian Gonzalez swing through a 3-1 fastball from Mark Melancon. That was two baserunner kills in the final two innings for Posey, as the Giants win 2-1 and temporarily stop the panic.

The Dodgers' losing streak at San Francisco reached six consecutive games after a 2-1 defeat to the Giants. Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched well, giving up just one run over six innings, but the offense could not do any damage against Giants starter Matt Cain and four relievers. The Dodgers scored their only run on a ground ball fielder's choice from Chris Taylor in the eighth inning.

The Rockies snapped the Nationals' seven-game win streak and now own the best record in the NL. Charlie Blackmon hit the go-ahead homer and Mark Reynolds continues to rake as well. The man who once fanned 223 times in a season, has focused on more contact -- his K rate is down 15 percent from a few years ago -- and it's working with a .329 average and his sixth HR on Monday.

Dodgers LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu delivered the best start of his comeback, giving up one run over six innings against the Giants. Ryu had made just one start the previous two seasons because of shoulder and elbow issues. It was his second consecutive six-inning start.

Sergio Romo might be on the rival Dodgers now, but he got a huge ovation from Giants fans Monday. Romo, in his first game ever at AT&T Park as a visitor, tipped his cap to the crowd, pounded his heart and pointed toward the Giants dugout. The club played a video tribute to the reliever, complete with his former entrance music.

Jason Heyward hit his third home run in his last four games while Addison Russell earned his first 4 hit day with four singles. The Cubs have scored 53 runs over their last 6 games while Brett Anderson was just good enough to give them a quality start, the team's first in over week.
