Wrigleyville is starting to come to life five hours before the first pitch of Game 6. If the Cubs win tonight, it will be a party the North Side hasn't seen in more than 70 years at the corner of Addison and Clark.

Joe Maddon went with a surprise starter in right field for the struggling Jason Heyward as Albert Almora Jr will get the nod in Game 6 tonight. Maddon doesn't lose much on defense and adds a right handed bat to the lineup against Clayton Kershaw. He has 8 righties in the lineup. Almora was a Sept call up after making his debut earlier this season. He made a diving catch in the NLDS against the Giants.

Jenrry Mejia has resurfaced in the Dominican Winter League. Mejia tossed a scoreless relief inning with one walk and one strikeout and earned the win in Licey's 4-3 opening-day win against Escogido on Friday. Mejia was permanently suspended from MLB in February for a third positive PED test, but the suspension does not extend to winter leagues, including in his native Dominican Republic. Mejia is allowed to apply to commissioner Rob Manfred for reinstatement to MLB next February -- one year after the ban was imposed. Even if reinstated, which is no guarantee, he would have to sit out the 2017 season since the requirement is to be sidelined for a minimum of two years after a lifetime ban. Mejia's New York-based attorney announced in July an intention to sue MLB, but there was never a subsequent announcement of a filing.
