There was a small question as to whether Cubs SS Addison Russell would be healthy for Opening Day due to some back soreness but he's proven more than healthy with a stellar first 3 innings in Houston on Thursday after missing a week. He's made several defensive plays including a diving stop plus he has an RBI single and 2-run HR. Despite missing time Russell leads the Cubs with 6 spring long balls.

Joe Maddon used his IPad this morning to make out the lineup for the first time this spring. He said he'll get his regulars about 3 at-bats tonight before letting some prospects play.
