Zippy game at Wrigley Field, where the Chicago Cubs finished their homestand with a 5-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. Kris Bryant, Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist provided the offense with solo homers off Jeff Samardzija. Reds CF Billy Hamilton sped around the bases from first to score the go-ahead run on a Zack Cozart single in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against the Indians. It's only one day, but so far Koda Glover being named the Nats closer looks like lipstick on a pig. Despite taking a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning, Washington couldn't get the game to Glover, as the bullpen allowed three runs in the sixth and another in the seventh en route to a 4-2 series finale loss to the Mariners.
