The Cubs have an off day in Boston which gives some young players a chance to visit the city. Kris Bryant already has his duck boat tour tickets while Kyle Schwarber is looking forward to Friday as he intends on sitting atop the Green Monster and wants to check out "where Manny used to go" inside the wall in left field. The Fernando Rodney Experience has never been an easy ride for those without strong stomachs, but Diamondbacks fans may not have to suffer through many more after the Padres scored five runs off him in the ninth, including Ryan Schimpf's go-ahead three-run homer. With an 11.00 ERA, Rodney should be replaced as closer.

Mike Morse looked finished as a major leaguer after just eight at-bats last year with the Pirates. But the Giants have so many injuries in the outfield that he was called up on Wednesday and since this is baseball of course he hit a pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning to tie the Dodgers.

ESPN Stats and Information

Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo gave one just enough pop to send it past right field in the eighth inning for his fifth homer of the season.

ESPN Stats and Information

DH Nelson Cruz has a thing for hitting long balls off Anibal Sanchez. Cruz hit his third homer off the Tigers pitcher on Wednesday.

The Orioles got a fifth straight quality start from Dylan Bundy, a Little League homer from Seth Smith, and a two-run 11th inning rally that ended with a walk-off walk to beat the Rays 5-4. At 14-6, B'more boasts the best record in the AL.

Watch Jon Lester discuss his outing on Wednesday where he gave up 10 hits and 5 earned runs. Despite those numbers he wasn't displeased with how he threw the ball.
