For those who are asking (or just wondering): No, this is not the first time two World Series teams have worn solid-colored alternate jerseys in the same game — not even close, in fact. In Game 1 of the 1979 Series, the Pirates wore black and the Orioles wore orange. Ah, the '70s.

Jesse Rogers ESPN Staff Writer

Kyle Schwarber is on base again as he walked in the sixth inning reaching for the third time tonight. He has three hits and two walks in his first two games since April 7.

Two weeks after Indians ended his career in ALDS, David Ortiz returned to Cleveland to accept Hank Aaron Award as AL's top slugger. Has retirement sunk in? "Not yet," Ortiz said. "Not going to be able to play another season hasn't hit me yet. It starts hitting you once January shows up and you start getting prepared and getting ready for spring training and all that stuff."

Coley Harvey ESPN Staff Writer

Adam Rubin ESPN Staff Writer

Mets personnel believe Yoenis Cespedes will seek a five-year deal after opting out of his contract following the World Series. Cespedes is expected to vacate the two years and $47.5 million remaining on his current contract in order to test the free=agent market. The Mets are expected to still pursue Cespedes, but are pessimistic about their chances of landing him. Then again, they were pessimistic a year ago as well, and Cespedes returned.

Kyle Schwarber - 1-for-6 in the Arizona Fall League, 0-for-4 in the Cubs' regular season, 3-for-6 in the World Series. That's about right

Jesse Rogers ESPN Staff Writer
