The Dodgers' Rich Hill is perfect through seven innings against Pittsburgh. On Sept. 10 last season, Hill was perfect through seven innings against the Marlins. But manager Dave Roberts pulled him after 89 pitches because Hill was dealing with recurring blister issues. "I feel sick to my stomach," Roberts said at the time. Tonight, Roberts and Hill both get a chance at a do-over.

Rich Hill retires Andrew McCutchen on a weak groundout to second base. He has nine strikeouts and is perfect through seven innings on 74 pitches. The Dodgers have seven hits, but Trevor Williams is also spinning a shutout and the Dodgers and Pirates are tied at 0-0.

Rich Hill has looked masterful while throwing six perfect innings against the Pirates tonight. He's consistently gotten ahead with a 90 mph fastball, used his curveball to good effect and set down 18 straight Pittsburgh hitters on 65 pitches. Pittsburgh's Trevor Williams has also been strong, and the Dodgers and Pirates are tied 0-0 entering the seventh.

Dodgers lefty Rich Hill has set down 12 straight Pittsburgh hitters on 40 pitches through four innings tonight at PNC Park. Josh Bell reached safely on an infield hit leading off the second inning, but the play was overturned on a replay review after 40 seconds.

Red Sox make it official, acquiring outfielder Rajai Davis from the Oakland A's for minor-league outfielder Rafael Rincones. Davis joins Sox on day they place Jackie Bradley Jr. on the disabled list.

Jon Lester (lat/shoulder) will throw a bullpen session this weekend after playing catch today. He won't come off the DL after 10 days but is progressing as is Justin Grimm (finger). He threw a bullpen session today and could go on a rehab assignment soon.

Yankees first baseman Greg Bird could return to the team's lineup on Friday. Bird is going to play in a rehab games tonight and Thursday. At that point, manager Joe Girardi said the team will evaluate what is next. It seems that could a trip back to New York for the Yankees weekend series with the Mariners. Bird hasn't played since May 1 because of ankle injury.

Jackie Bradley Jr. is headed to disabled list with a sprained left thumb. Red Sox will recall utility infielder Deven Marrero from Triple-A. Bradley's diagnosis followed an MRI today in Boston.
