Bryce Harper blamed his 8th inning ejection on his...pregame music? "I think I need to change my playlist because I get a little fired up...'5AM' really got me fired up, by Logic. I called my brother and was like, ‘Man, I'm so fired up to play today.' I guess it got me a little too fired up. I guess I need to mix in some Temptations and some of those jazz bands to calm me down a little bit."

The Cubs beat the White Sox 8-3 behind a strong outing by Jake Arrieta who gave up just two hits. The big blow in the game was a 3 run double by Anthony Rizzo during a long fifth inning when the Cubs scored 4 times. Rizzo had 4 RBI's on the night. Later, Addison Russell homered and the Cubs drew 8 walks to wear down White Sox pitching. The win, combined with a Milwaukee loss, vaulted the Cubs into sole possession of first place.

Jake Arrieta gave up his first hit of the game with 1 out in the fifth as Omar Narvaez hit a ground rule double to right center.

Bryce Harper got tossed, the Nationals batted around in a 7-run eighth inning, and reports surfaced that Stephen Strasburg will miss his next start. Just another day at the office that is Nats Park. Oh, and Washington beat Milwaukee 8-5.

Eddie Matz ESPN Senior Writer

Lewis Brinson made his first big-legaue bomb count. The Brewers outfielder, called up today, just took Sean Doolittle deeeeeep to left center at Nats Park. No distance yet, but it didn't look too far away from where teammate Domingo Santana's 476-foot jack landed earlier in the game.

Bryce Harper was just part of a strike-'em-out, throw-'em-out. Harper whiffed, then got thrown out of the game for arguing with home plate ump Chris Segal. It's Harper's second ejection of the season, and the 10th of his career.
