Great at-bats for the Astros in the bottom of the seventh, and they've got the bases loaded with one out, trailing the Angels 8-6.

Seven times this season a Yankees player has had a multi-homer game (Gary Sanchez had two HRs tonight after having another two-homer game earlier this season). That's the most individual multi-homer games in major league history for a team through its first 22 games.

Didi Gregorius drew some high praise from CC Sabathia after tonight's win:"What he's done in taking over for arguably one of the best shortstops to ever play — and we don't even bring him (Derek Jeter) up anymore because Didi has been that good — you've got to give him credit in what he's been able to do taking over in that spot. He's the anchor of our team."

Didi Gregorius is on a stupefying tear at the start of the season. In just 22 games, he has eight homers and 27 RBI (as of this posting, Tuesday's game is only in the fifth inning). Those eight HR and 27 RBI are the most for a shortstop in major league history. Gregorius' eighth of this season game in the fifth when he crushed a 401-foot shot into the second deck down the right-field line.

In terms of the Yankees' current manifestation of the the middle of the order, Aaron Boone smiled and said: "I like how it looks right now. I like the feel of it." This is the lineup that features Didi Gregorius No. 3, Giancarlo Stanton No. 4. Boone isn't sure if this is why it seems his players 1-9 have had more quality at-bats of late, but he does like what he's seen out of this order.

Aaron Boone wants to get through tonight's game before putting anything in stone, but with a Yankees day game coming Thursday after Wednesday's night game, his current plan is for Austin Romine to catch Sonny Gray tomorrow. Gary Sanchez will catch Thursday.

Kris Bryant will sit out Tuesdays game after getting hit in the helmet by a pitch on Sunday in Colorado. He took batting practice in Cleveland on Tuesday and the Cubs determined he needed another day, though he passed all concussion related tests. Tommy La Stella will play third base in his place.

Addison Russell is doing better after having an allergic reaction to shellfish which was mislabeled in the Rockies visiting clubhouse on Sunday. Many players thought it was like orange chicken. Russell went to the hospital for an IV and immediately felt better.
