The Miller Park boos for Manny Machado were deafening.

Manny Machado was greeted with an extended round of boos before and during his first at-bat of NLCS Game 6. The boos turned into loud cheers when the Dodgers shortstop struck out swinging.

Brewers fans are either really happy about Mike Moustakas or really displeased with Manny Machado. Moose didn't do anything, so I'm guessing it's the latter. Impressive stuff -- that was one of the longest sustained boos I've heard. But the boos turned to cheers when the mighty Machado struck out.

David Freese in the leadoff spot certainly jumped out when the Dodgers posted their lineup for NLCS Game 6, and it didn't take long for Freese to make the move look very smart with a first-inning home run off Wade Miley.

Dave Roberts raises eyebrows by batting David Freese leadoff. Dave Roberts wins. Freese goes deep off Milwaukee lefty Wade Miley and the Dodgers grab a 1-0 lead.

David Freese, making a rare start at leadoff, homered off Wade Miley to start this game, moments after getting brushed back with a fastball.

Can confirm: They're booing Manny Machado at Miller Park in NLCS Game 6.

Former commissioner Bud Selig, age 84, will throw out the first pitch before NLCS Game 6 in Milwaukee. During his pregame availability, Selig said: "I can't sit here and tell you I'm not rooting for the Brewers."

Manny Machado, postseason villain, has a .935 OPS this round and could lock up an NLCS MVP with a big Friday night (and, of course, a Dodgers win).

Manny Machado and the Dodgers are getting loose on the field at Miller Park before NLCS Game 6. No boos yet for Machado, though that figures to change in a couple of hours.

Another interesting lineup for the Dodgers. David Freese leads off and Max Muncy bats second and plays 2B. Outfield is Chris Taylor (LF), Cody Bellinger (CF), Yasiel Puig (RF). Only guys missing from the Dodgers' typical lineup vs lefties are Kiké Hernandez and Brian Dozier.

And here is Dave Roberts' very interesting Game 6 lineup for the Dodgers, one that features David Freese in the leadoff spot against Milwaukee lefty Wade Miley. The gamesmanship continues. 1. D. Freese (1B);  2. M. Muncy (2B); 3. J. Turner (3B); 4. M. Machado (SS); 5. C. Bellinger (CF); 6. C. Taylor (LF); 7. Y. Puig (RF); 8. A. Barnes (C); 9. H. Ryu (P). According to baseball-reference.com, Freese has started in the leadoff spot in just three of his 1,105 career regular-season appearances.
