Toms River, NJ's Todd Frazier said his first Yankee home run was special, but he did what he always does as he rounded the bases. He thought about his cousin, who passed away at a young age. He always tips his cap before he hits home plate in honor of her. Before he reaches the dugout, he points to his family in the stands.

Bryce Harper said that if he's All-Star next year, he'll "definitely do the Home Run Derby." Harper, who hasn't done the Derby since finishing second in 2013, made his comments at the logo unveiling for the 2018 ASG, which will take place in DC at Nats Park.

Rafael Devers' first big-league hit is a solo homer to straightaway center field at Safeco. That's one way to convince the Red Sox to keep him around.

The Yankees beat the Reds, 9-5, as ace Luis Severino pitched a strong seven innings, while Didi Gregorius and Todd Frazier hit home runs. The Yankees have won three in a row for the first time since the middle of June. Aaron Judge did not play.

The chances of Orioles reliever Zach Britton being traded are growing slimmer by the day. Britton has yet to pitch back-to-back days since returning from a forearm strain three weeks ago -- and he has only one save this month -- and some potential trade partners aren't convinced he's ready to handle the pennant race grind in August and September. The Orioles are seeking a big return for Britton, and several clubs have moved on to Brad Brach, Pat Neshek and other secondary targets.

Brett Anderson was 2-2 with a 8.18 ERA for the Cubs before going down with a back injury. He gave up 34 hits in 22 innings after the Cubs signed him to a 1 year deal to be their fifth starter. He didn't work out as Anderson was DFA'd on Wednesday.

The Cubs have designated lefty pitcher Brett Anderson for assignment after activating him from the DL, per the team.

Didi Gregorius has homered in three-straight games for the first time in his career. Gregorius has 16 homers on the season.

Didi Gregorius mashes a 2-run HR; four HRs in the last three games. Yankees 8-2 over the Reds. Will be a 1/2 game out if they hold the lead.

Red Sox don't seem to be considering a DL stint for Xander Bogaerts, who has dealt with groin injury, bruised hand and illness and is 4-for-34 with eight strikeouts in his last nine games. Timing, not injury, is the problem, according to John Farrell. "When you watch him in his early work, watch the BP he takes, it's hard to suggest any ailment is affecting his swing because he's driving the baseball out of the ballpark with routine ability," Farrell said.

Evan Longoria hits a two-run homer into his favorite spot in the Trop. He's got 256 career homers; Rays lead O's 2-1.
