Joe Maddon used his IPad this morning to make out the lineup for the first time this spring. He said he'll get his regulars about 3 at-bats tonight before letting some prospects play. He felt it was important to bring players like Ian Happ to Houston so they could experience a major league stadium for the first time.

The knock on newly minted Nats closer Blake Treinen is that he's too nice to be a closer. But if Treinen's the nicest guy in baseball (which he very well might be), then Zach Britton's probably the second nicest. And he's done just fine, thanks.

Didi Gregorius just told me that he expects to start throwing next week. Said he feels "no relief" that his injured shoulder does not need surgery since his only goal was to be in the Yankees starting lineup on Opening Day. Will be the first arm work Gregorius does after injuring his throwing shoulder during the WBC and having to start the season on the DL.
