Jake Arrieta has not allowed a hit through 4 innings which is 2 innings shy of the longest stint in the WS by a Cubs pitcher. Ed Reulbach threw 6 innings in 1906 against the White Sox without giving up one.

Bradford Doolittle ESPN Staff Writer

The Cleveland Cavaliers are enjoying Game 2 of the World Series from a suite. They appeared on the video board during the fourth inning with J.R. Smith exhorting the crowd, along with Kevin Love, LeBron James, Richard Jefferson and others. The fans seemed pleased.

Coley Harvey ESPN Staff Writer

The Cavs' J.R. Smith had a message to deliver on the Progressive Field video board between half innings. (It involved that shiny thing on his finger)

I'm a little bummed I forgot to mention that Anthony Rizzo was the 1st Cub to drive in a run in a WS game since Bill (Swish) Nicholson in Game 7, 1945

Dan Mullen

The best double-play combination I have ever seen -- Omar Vizquel and Roberto Alomar -- worked in this ballpark. Jason Kipnis and Francisco Lindor looked a whole lot like them on a huge 4-6-3 turn in Game 2.

Andrew Marchand ESPN Senior Writer

Trevor Bauer can't make it through the fourth. He threw one less pitch, 87, than Corey Kluber, who went six in Game 1.

Darren Rovell ESPN Senior Writer

Ted Feller, 73, came to tonight's game from Sioux Falls, S.D. Ted says his father's grandfather and Bob's father's grandfather were brothers

Jayson Stark ESPN Senior Writer

Both the Cubs' strikeouts have come with men on base. Elias reports their 10 K's Tuesday with men on were 2nd most ever in a WS game. Only the '29 A's had more

ESPN @espn

The Cubs got their bats going early. Is it time for Terry Francona to call the bullpen?

Jesse Rogers ESPN Staff Writer

Kyle Schwarber was given the 3-0 green light and came through with an RBI single in the third inning to give the Cubs a 2-0 lead. It was his first RBI since last postseason.

Andrew Marchand ESPN Senior Writer

With Trevor Bauer's pitch count at 71 after three innings, he is not long for this game.

David Schoenfield SweetSpot blogger

Cubs rally here started with Bauer walking Rizzo after an 0-2 count. Bauer had the second-highest walk rate among starters when he had two strikes on a hitter. Maybe nibbles too much, even when ahead in the count, leading to too many free passes.

Jayson Stark ESPN Senior Writer

Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist and Kyle Schwarber have already seen 34 pitches against Trevor Bauer. Incredible to watch them grind ABs

Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN

By Schwarber's 2nd plate appearance in Game 1, he was among most trusted Cubs hitters. In 6th PA, gets a green light on 3-0 pitch, RBI.

Dan Mullen

Trevor Bauer just threw the 100th pitch of Game 2 (his 65th), with two outs in the top of the third inning. Settle in, it's going to be a long night of baseball.
