Report: Homer Bailey going to DL

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey has a flexor mass injury in his right arm and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list before his next start, according to a report.

The Cincinnati Enquirer, citing sources, reported that Bailey will not need surgery.

Bailey is 9-5 with a 3.71 ERA this season, but he has posted a 1.61 ERA since the All-Star break.

Bailey, who signed a $105 million contract extension in February, was to start Wednesday's game, but his start was pushed back to give him extra rest.
