Terry Francona, Indians welcome Kevin Cash back to Cleveland with scoreboard 'tribute'

Terry Francona had quite the interesting way of welcoming his good friend Kevin Cash to Progressive Field before Monday night's game between the Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays.

A reminder of Cash's offensive output -- or lack thereof -- during his major league career appeared on the scoreboard as the Rays were taking batting practice.

According to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian, Francona said he had "something small" planned for his former bullpen coach.

This isn't the first time Francona and the Indians have gone out of their way to welcome Cash back to Cleveland. A similar message graced Progressive Field's scoreboard last June.

Cash joined Francona's coaching staff with the Indians in 2012 and left following the 2014 season, after he was named the Rays' manager. He also played for Francona's Boston Red Sox in 2007-08 and 2010, primarily as a catcher.
