Super-prospect Ronald Acuna arrived early at Braves camp and declared he wants to make the Opening Day roster despite limited time above Double-A. Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos told me Thursday night he loves the confidence. "You want to hear a player say that," he said. Realistically, the Braves will play it safe -- and hold down Acuna's service time -- and give him some time in Triple-A.

Foltynewicz, Braves arbitrate over $100K gap

Pitcher Mike Foltynewicz asked for a raise from $544,000 to $2.3 million during Friday's arbitration hearing with the Braves. Atlanta countered with an offer of $2.2 million. It was the smallest gap in a hearing since 1994.
