Shortstop Richie Martin was selected No. 1 overall by the Orioles in the Rule 5 draft and 14 players overall, including 10 pitchers, were picked in the major league portion.

Source: O's pick Cubs coach Hyde as manager

Brandon Hyde, who has been Joe Maddon's bench coach with the Cubs, will be named the Orioles' new manager, ESPN has confirmed. The Athletic first reported that Hyde was the team's choice to replace Buck Showalter.
