Brock Holt will be shut down from baseball activity "for the foreseeable future," according to Red Sox manager John Farrell. Holt, who is dealing with vertigo and has a concussion history, was seen Thursday by specialist Micky Collins at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. With Holt's symptoms recurring, Red Sox will follow Collins' recommendations.

Is Boston breaking David Price?

Forget postseason pressure. The Red Sox need their lefty now. But if he's ready -- and pitches like an ace -- it could buy him a ticket out of town.

Real or not? Twenty strikeouts are boring

What does it say about all the strikeouts these days that a 20-strikeout game doesn't even seem all that interesting?

Red Sox P Price set for Monday start vs. CWS

Red Sox pitcher David Price will come off the disabled list and make his season debut Monday versus the White Sox in Chicago.

Scott Lauber ESPN Staff Writer

Red Sox clearly don't want David Price wasting bullets in Triple-A. Also, they believe a less-than-100% Price beats fill-in alternatives (Brian Johnson, Kyle Kendrick, Hector Velazquez). "Even if he gives us the 90 pitches in the first few outings," manager John Farrell said, "adding David Price to your rotation is always going to be a positive."

David Price will start for Red Sox on Monday in Chicago, according to manager John Farrell.
