A's Hendriks is Down Under baseball booster

It's not easy following major league games from Australia, but Oakland reliever Liam Hendriks is giving kids back home a reason to take interest in baseball.

Zunino's HR spurs Seattle past A's 3-2

Mike Zunino delivered the go-ahead home run in the seventh inning and Seattle held on for a 3-2 victory over the Athletics on Thursday night, keeping the M's on the edge of the AL wild-card hunt.

Jim Caple ESPN Senior Writer

Mariners tied 1-1 with Oakland in sixth inning of pretty much a must-win game. After Baltimore beat Toronto, Seattle is currently down 2 1/2 games in wild card race and a loss tonight would mean they would have to go 3-0 and hope Blue Jays or O's go 0-3 rest of way to tie. Oh, and Tigers would have to lose some as well.
