Lowe launches homer in AFL

Rays second-base prospect Brandon Lowe went 2-for-4 with a home run and a triple for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League's regular-season finale on Thursday. The 23-year-old, who participated in the league's Fall Stars Game earlier this month, slashed .224/.348/.414 in 16 games.

Rays 3B Evan Longoria wins his 3rd career Gold Glove award, his first since 2010. Longoria rated well on balls hit down the line, in the shortstop-third base hole and right at him. He also scored well at defending bunts and turning double plays. He improved by 20 Defensive Runs Save from 2016 to 2017, highest of any 3rd baseman.
