Tuesday's longest home runs

It was a tight race at the top, with Kyle Schwarber's laser to right-center narrowly edging out Hunter Pence and Justin Upton. Oakland's Matt Chapman and Tampa Bay's Brad Miller round out the group.

ESPN Stats and Information

Brad Miller's home run for the Rays was the 5,691st in MLB this season. That's 3 shy of breaking the MLB record set in 2000.

Rays 3, Red Sox 2: Eduardo Rodriguez picked a bad time to make his worst mistake. On his 110th and final pitch of the game, Rodriguez allowed a solo homer to Jesus Sucre that broke a tie and sent the Rays to a victory in the finale of a three-game series. The Red Sox didn't have a hit until the sixth inning, when Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a two-run homer against Rays starter Jake Odorizzi. David Price tossed two scoreless innings in relief, his first game action since July 22. The Rays snapped their three-game losing streak.

Red Sox 3, Rays 1: Rick Porcello delivered precisely what Boston needed after a 15-inning endurance test Friday night. Porcello was sharp and economical, breezing through 7 1/3 innings and leading the Red Sox to their third consecutive victory. Mookie Betts homered and drove in two runs, as the Red Sox (85-63) maintained their 3-game lead atop the AL East. The Rays (72-77), meanwhile, lost for the seventh time in nine games.

Red Sox 13, Rays 6 (15 inn.): This is becoming a trend. For the fourth time this season, the Red Sox played a game that lasted at least 15 innings. And they capped a 6-hour, 5-minute marathon by scoring seven runs in the top of the 15th. The Red Sox tied the game with three runs in the ninth inning, took a lead in the 14th, then gave it back. By outlasting the Rays, the Sox stayed three games ahead of the Yankees in the AL East.

Red Sox and Rays are headed to the 12th inning at the Trop. Between them, the teams have used 30 position players and 17 pitchers. There have been 377 pitches thrown in the game and 20 runners left on base.

One week after Kevin Kiermaier was robbed of extra bases by Jackie Bradley Jr., he returns to the favor with an incredible diving catch. Simply amazing.
