The $300 million urban village known as Comerica Park has raised expectations in the city of Detroit. The ballpark includes a carousel, Ferris wheel and an enormous water feature behind center field that can be choreographed to music. A major priority when designing this park was the fans' sightlines. Comerica has no upper-deck outfield seats, offering a gorgeous view of the downtown skyline. The park includes 70,000 square feet of retail space and another 36,000 square feet of offices.
Soak up the scene:
Comerica Park has plenty of off-field entertainment, including a carousel (with tigers replacing horses, of course), a Ferris wheel and a fountain that spouts liquid fireworks. And beyond the left-field wall is a series of unique statues of six Tigers greats. The park is located in downtown Detroit, and believe it or not there's plenty to see and do close by. Hit Nemo's, a classic sports bar, before the game and nearby Greektown after. For more on the Comerica Park experience, including a game-day itinerary, visit Wise Guides.
