Latest from UFC Fight Night

Aleksandra Albu is 3-0 but it’s taken her a long time to get there. The strawweight from Russia made her pro debut in 2013, and since then, injuries and schooling have limited her activity -- she fought once in 2015, once in 2017. Now it’s two years later, so she’s due to fight. She opens the night against Emily Whitmire.

Tonight's Jodie Esquibel vs. Jessica Penne fight has been canceled, according to multiple sources. Penne missed weight yesterday by two pounds, but she withdrew from the fight after suffering an ankle injury Sunday morning, her manager Brian Butler told ESPN. Penne severely sprained her ankle while warming up after breakfast, Brian Butler said. They tried icing, taping but it became apparent quickly that she would not be able to fight.
