Joanna Jedrzejczyk-Jessica Andrade strawweight title fight proposed for UFC 211

UFC has targeted strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk's next title defense against Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 on May 13 in Dallas, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Jedrzejczyk (13-0) will be seeking her fifth consecutive defense of the 115-pound title. Originally from Poland and now fighting out of American Top Team in South Florida, Jedrzejczyk is coming off a five-round decision win over Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 in November.

The 29-year-old has been thoroughly dominant since signing with UFC in 2014. She is 7-0 inside the Octagon, with two knockout finishes. ESPN ranks Jedrzejczyk as the No. 2 female pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Andrade (16-5) is a former bantamweight who is 3-0 since dropping to strawweight last year. The 25-year-old Brazilian has defeated Jessica Penne, Joanne Calderwood and, most recently, Angela Hill to earn the title shot.

The Jedrzejczyk-Andrade matchup, first reported by Polish news site Sport.pl, is not yet official.

The UFC 211 pay-per-view event will take place at the American Airlines Center. A heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos will headline the event.
