The next fight for Dennis Siver is expected to take place at 145 pounds, but when and against whom remains a mystery.
The Sweden-based website MMANYYT.se reported Wednesday that Siver would make his featherweight debut April 14 in Sweden against Ross Pearson in a rematch of their March 2010 lightweight showdown. But Pearson said Thursday that he has not signed to face Siver.
"To put it straight, I've not signed to fight with Siver," Pearson said on Twitter. "I know nothing about it, but I would love to fight in Sweden, whoever (the opponent) will be."
Pearson defeated Siver by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Gomi. Their hotly contested battle earned 'Fight of the Night' honors.
Pearson (13-5) made his featherweight debut Dec. 30 at UFC 141. He defeated highly touted Junior Assuncao by unanimous decision.
Siver (19-8) revealed his intention to move down a weight class in October, following a first-round submission loss to Donald Cerrone at UFC 137.
